A high-achieving and values-driven secondary school in Southwark is seeking to appoint an excellent Teacher of English from September 2026. The school delivers strong Progress 8 outcomes and GCSE results, underpinned by a clear commitment to academic ambition, inclusion and the wider development of every student.

The Role
The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5. A Level teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
We are seeking a teacher who will:

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons

Use assessment effectively to secure strong progress

Contribute positively to a collaborative and reflective department
This role would suit experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers. Support is carefully tailored, with a structured induction and mentoring programme for ECTs and personalised development pathways for more experienced colleagues.
