KPi Education is recruiting a dedicated Therapeutic Integration Practitioner (TIP) to support young people with SEMH, autism, trauma, and complex behavioural needs within a specialist, community-based education provision in Acton.

This role supports learners who are unable to attend mainstream school and require a highly personalised, therapeutic approach to education.

About the Role – Therapeutic Integration Practitioner

As a TIP, you will play a key role in the assessment, induction, and integration of young people entering the provision.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and senior staff to design and deliver a bespoke integration pathway, supporting students back into structured education or training.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting learners through initial assessment and integration phases
  • Helping young people build towards structured education programmes
  • Developing strong therapeutic relationships with students and families
  • Coordinating individualised timetables and community-based learning
  • Supporting engagement in therapeutic and educational interventions
  • Implementing behaviour and integration plans using de-escalation strategies
  • Liaising with families, schools, and external professionals
  • Completing risk assessments, progress tracking, and documentation
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding and wellbeing

This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring resilience, flexibility, and emotional intelligence.

The Young People You Will Support

You will work with learners presenting with:

  • SEMH needs
  • Autism (ASC) and neurodiversity
  • Trauma and attachment difficulties
  • High-risk and challenging behaviours
  • Barriers to engagement in education

Person Specification

To be considered, you should have:

  • A degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Education, Youth Work, Social Care, or similar – desirable)
  • Strong experience supporting young people with complex SEN and behaviour
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic education
  • Confidence using de-escalation and behaviour support strategies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High levels of resilience, organisation, and professionalism
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
