About This Role
In your role as a Graduate Mathematics Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the mathematics teachers to support students in building a strong foundation in key mathematical concepts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting teachers in creating engaging lesson plans and delivering interactive content.
- Supporting students in small groups or one-on-one sessions, focusing on areas where they need additional help.
- Encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving in students to boost their mathematical understanding.
- Helping with exam preparation for GCSEs and A-Levels, providing targeted interventions for students.
- Assisting in tracking student progress and adapting learning plans to meet individual needs.
As a Graduate Mathematics Teaching Assistant, you’ll gain firsthand experience in a dynamic classroom setting, while also helping students develop a positive attitude toward mathematics.
Key Requirements:
- A recent degree in Mathematics or a related subject (preferably from a Russell Group university).
- A strong interest in education and a passion for mathematics.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience working with young people or in an educational environment is desirable but not required.
