A well-established secondary school located in Liverpool is looking to appoint a diligent, high achieving and motivated Graduate Science Teaching Assistant to join their team to work alongside students performing below expectations…

This Graduate Science Teaching Assistant role will see the successful candidate joining a supportive Science department and supporting the teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4. The school have identified several students across the age range who require extra motivation and support and are looking for a Science Graduate to support these students. You will be working directly with the Head of Science, who will be utilising your specialist degree knowledge to support with pupils across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5. This Graduate Science Teaching Assistant vacancy will see the successful graduate working on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis to improve their attainment and progress.
The school has worked with a number of university graduates in the past who have strong Science-related degrees and a passion to pursue a career in education. The department are renowned for developing graduates in Teaching Assistant roles and exposing them to the running of a classroom and intervention strategies that are in place for struggling students.
You will be provided with training, support, and the necessary tools you would need in order to succeed and to make a positive difference within the department and the pupils learning. The Headteacher is fully supportive of all Teaching Assistants and will make sure the school do everything they can to prepare you fully, before embarking potentially on your PGCE next year.
