Purchasing Administrator |Up to £26,000 per annum |Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm|

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Administrator to join a busy and growing manufacturing business as part of a small, supportive purchasing team. This role would suit someone with previous experience in a purchasing or administrative role, or someone looking to build a long-term career within purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and expedite purchase orders to meet business requirements
- Communicate with suppliers via email and telephone
- Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates, back orders, shortages and returns
- Match order confirmations against purchase orders
- Maintain pricing and ordering policies for stock items
- Resolve invoice queries and discrepancies
- Work closely with internal departments to support business operations
- Carry out ad-hoc indirect purchasing for the business
- Attend face-to-face meetings with suppliers when required
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong attention to detail (essential)
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook (essential)
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, products and processes
- Good numeracy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
- Interest in long-term career development within purchasing
